A pillow box or pack is a niche packaging solution which tends to be used for smaller, lighter contents – typically samples, gift cards, sweets and jewellery. You might have seen a pillow box at the last wedding you attended, as they are a very popular container for wedding favours, often decorated with finishing touches such as ribbons and stickers. In the commercial world, pillow packs are often used at launches and events as an attractive way to package samples and free gifts.

As you would guess, a pillow box closely resembles the shape of a plump pillow with two interlocking tabs at each end to secure the contents. The curved edges add interest and a touch of class to the usual, angular box design. They can be printed and stored flat and you simply pop them open into that distinctive pillow shape when filling. The pillow box design is versatile, durable and also easy to re-seal.
